Abbie Cornish, born 7 August 1982, in Australia and is an actor. Cornish was best-known for her roles in films such as Heidi, Fanny Brawne and Sweet Pea (in Sucker Punch), Lindy and RoboCop (2011) and Sarah and Geostorm (2017). Cornish won the first Screen Actors Guild Award with the last film. The father of her was Jack Gilpin star of such films like Adventureland (2009) and her mother is Ann McDonough of The Mothman Prophecies (2002) as well as other films. Betty Gilpin made a decision to enter the field of acting due to the fact that she received the encouragement and love of her parents. Fordham College is where Betty Gilpin honed her skills. Gilpin began her acting career off-Broadway as she scouted for roles in film and television. The actress was invited to guest star in NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001-2011) and followed it up with smaller roles in Ghost Town (2008) and The Northern Kingdom (2009). Gilpin continued to appear on TV in the role of a guest star for the remainder of her time. The year 2013 was the year she was given her first break as she had a recurring part in Nurse Jackie. Gilpin was the lead character on Nurse Jackie as the character Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin on 34 episodes, until Nurse Jackie was removed in June of 2015. The following year, Gilpin made an appearance in the thriller-mystery True Story (2015).
