Allison Pregler Bio
Allison Pregler is a reviewer who reviews Z-grade films usually that are in the horror or martial arts genre, which is roughly comparable to The Cinema Snob but tending towards action-oriented dumb films and an obsession with them. The reviews began at the end of 2009 and, after she gained some fame (under the name of Obscurus Lupa, which was previously used) Allison Pregler was part of the family at Channel Awesome. She remained member of the channel through January of 2015, when Obscurus Lupa Presents was changed to Movie Nights. The channel also hosts two podcasts through her channel, both of which cover the Charmed franchise and both co-hosted together with Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. The role of a guest in Midnight Screenings is a regular event. The program reviews grotesque films aimed at children, RiffTrax and live shows. There are also times when it features adult-oriented comedy. Her first review was in late 2009. She earned a great deal of popularity through the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of the family. She's appeared in countless Channel Awesome programs, from Atop the Fourth Wall and Phelous & the Movies to Atop the Fourth Wall. She used to be a part of Channel Awesome's Channel Awesome Family alongside Doug Walker, and she would be seen on numerous episodes of The Nostalgia Critic.
